The Wrath: Roblox Users

The several injustices presented by the current CEO of Roblox, David Baszucki, have come to enrage many Roblox users. Roblox is currently facing around 60 lawsuits on charges of facilitating predatory behavior within the game. The AI facial age estimation technology,  inadequate chat regulations (as covered by one of my colleagues, Abby Cruz), and most recently, the removal of classic faces, all have worked as the final straw for Roblox users, who have snapped.

DAVID BASZUCKI, on the other hand, seems to be oddly optimistic about the whole ordeal. When asked about predator infiltration in his interview with HARD FORK, Baszucki answered that it wasn’t necessarily perceived as a problem, but “as an opportunity” to institute new technology, presumably referring to the most recent changes of age estimation and chat limitations. Baszucki continues to insist Roblox is a great platform for kids.

After the statement of classic faces being removed, most of which cost Robux (in-game currency), players are starting to express their grievances. Showing yet another meaningless update that does nothing to address the issue plaguing Roblox, players have compiled, created, and shared artworks typical in analog horror. For those who may not know, analog horror is an internet horror subgenre that uses the glitchy, grainy, and low fidelity aesthetics of old media such as VHS Tapes and emergency alerts to showcase unsettling, often cryptic stories, uncanny in nature. Many of these images run rampant on TikTok, with some accounts being entirely dedicated to the content. Mind you, none of the following images are AI, but rather a small compilation of players’ concentrated rage, wrath, and hatred for actions and lack thereof from David Baszucki as the CEO of Roblox. Viewer discretion is advised, as some of the images may be disturbing.

"All Classic Head and Face combinations will be replaced with a corresponding Dynamic Head in February 2026. The Classic Heads and Classic Faces categories will then be removed from the Marketplace."
